Over the last 12 years, we’ve worked in over 225 schools and helped 17,500 children access literacy support to learn to read or improve their reading for meaning skills. Our literacy intervention programmes are run at public primary schools in the Western Cape and Gauteng, and provide children who struggle to read with one-on-one attention from a Volunteer Reading Helper or community Literacy Tutor. Through consistent one-on-one attention and reading help, the children that participate in our programmes not only learn to read, they fall in love with it.
