NEWS, VIEWS & OTHER INTERESTING THINGS

FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN

29 March, 2019

Earlier this month help2read was chosen as the 4th charity partner for the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN, the Cape’s premier 12km road run.  This is a fantastic opportunity for runners to lace up to run for literacy and help give the gift of literacy.

“We are excited to support help2read’s drive to erase illiteracy in South Africa,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director Stillwater Sports.  “For many the ability to read is considered to be a basic tool that is taught to all.  This is, however, not always the case.  We commend help2read for the important role they fulfil in enabling children to read and ultimately empowering South African communities. We are proud to welcome the organisation as an event charity in 2019 and trust that runners will echo our excitement by showing their support.”

Being welcomed as a charity of the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN is a great opportunity for help2read and we would like to urge all our supporters to Lace up for Literacy and help give the gift of literacy through one or more of the following ways:

  • Runners can get involved by signing up for help2read charity tickets for the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN by visiting http://ow.ly/29xW30o7iyb
  • Becoming either a once off or monthly donor by visiting our website www.help2read.org
  • Becoming a Reading Champion either by campaigning for us or by volunteering as a Volunteer Reading Helper.
