Collaborating For The Love Of Reading
13 September, 2016
At help2read, we are committed to building a strong collaborative movement to eradicate illiteracy in the next generation. To this end, we are delighted to have secured funding to implement a collaborative effort with Nali’Bali that will see help2read Literacy Tutors trained and supported to add FUNda Leadership to their skill set and establish community reading clubs in the areas where they work.
Our Literacy Tutors already provide one-on-one reading help to learners in primary school grades in various schools and communities. By training to also become FUNda Leaders, literacy activists who take time to bring stories and books to children in whatever way they can, we believe our Literacy Tutors will be empowered to further extend their potential to build a love of reading to more children and homes in communities across the country.
