Well the Absa Cape Epic is now officially an event of the past and wow what an awesome race and experience it was. From day 1, the Prologue at Meerendal through day 8, finishing at Lourensford, Carlyle and I raced our hearts out.
Susan Belgrave, a former teacher, created Volunteer Reading Help after she recognised the need for individualised tutoring in North Kensington primary schools.
In partnership with the Lion’s Club and multiple Malawian companies, help2read is in the process of expanding into Malawi.
Recently help2read was featured on SABC 3’s Expresso Breakfast Show.
After lots of packing, shuffling and unpacking, help2read has officially opened in Parow (21 McIntyre Street opposite the Superspar – come visit us!).
We have recently instated our programme in Hammanskraal, Gauteng. On the 2nd of July, Kylie Stewart (Programme Coordinator) trained 17 new volunteers at Kosea Moeka Primary School.
